Nylon elastic thread (also known as polyamide thread or pearl thread) is a synthetic fiber thread made from nylon 6 or nylon 66 as the raw material basis through a special processing technology. It is twisted from continuous filament nylon fibers and has a smooth and soft handfeel. At the same time, it performs outstandingly in physical properties.
Elasticity and Rebound Performance**: The most remarkable feature of nylon elastic thread is its excellent extensibility and recoverability. Its breaking elongation can reach 25 - 30%. Within the daily use range (stretched 4 - 6%), it can achieve 100% complete rebound and return to its original length without deformation. This characteristic makes it an ideal choice for sewing elastic fabrics and soft furniture.
Abrasion and Weather Resistance**: Nylon elastic thread has excellent abrasion resistance. The tested abrasion value can be as low as 0.36mg, far superior to ordinary synthetic fibers. At the same time, it can withstand extreme temperature environments (the impact embrittlement temperature reaches -40°C) and has the characteristics of oil resistance, solvent resistance, and scratch resistance, maintaining stable performance in harsh environments. Its mildew - proof property further expands its application value in outdoor and humid environments.
